UHV Stepper Motors

AML UHV compatible hybrid stepper motors are available in a range of sizes with holding torques from 75 mNm to 1 Nm. The current fourth generation motors are the culmination of 40 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of UHV motors; suitable for use in vacuum applications to below 1x10-10 mbar (7.5x10-11 Torr).

Manufactured in West Sussex, UK, we extensively test every motor to meet our high standards

NEMA 14

UHV-compatible

Suitable for use below 1 x 10-10 mBar (7.5 x 10-11 Torr) and bakeable to 200 °C.

Works best with AML stepper motor drives

Continuous running in vacuum at high torque and step rates with AML drive.

Standard size and characteristics

NEMA 14 size and 200 full steps per revolution (1.8° step angle) .

Embedded temperature sensor

Supplied with embedded Type-K thermocouple as standard. PT100 RTD is available as an alternative.
