If you are experiencing erratic or jerky rotation of a stepper motor at low speeds, especially during acceleration and deceleration, this could be caused the following factors:
- Do you have a load attached to the motor? If so, the inertia may be too great for your acceleration profile.
- The phase current and voltage may be too low.
- Check your motor drive start frequency, micro-step resolution and full step transition frequency.
