Electronics Design Engineer

AML is currently recruiting for a dynamic and motivated Electronics Design Engineer to join the design team in Bury, near Pulborough, developing next generation sensors and control systems.

The role

You will bepart of a growing teamworking to develop AMLs next generation of vacuum instrumentation and motion control products. The nature of the role is highly varied and you will be involved in all stages of the electronic product design lifecycle, from concept to production and beyond. Typical tasks involve:

  • Electronics design, working from a design brief supplied by the senior design engineer
  • Schematic capture, simulation, and PCB layout
  • Design validation and testing, including building of prototypes
  • EMC and safety testing
  • Production of high quality, consistent design documentation and artefacts

Ideal Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline, with strong A Level results
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout (Proteus preferred)
  • Modelling and simulation using tools such as MATLAB
  • Experience with embedded software development would be useful, but not essential
  • Self-motivated and self-managed
  • Organised,with goodproblem solving, analytical & administrative skills
  • Fluent English language skills

Salary £25,000 - £27,000 per annum
