Salary £38,000 - £40,000 per annum
Permanent, full-time

Location:        Bury, nr. Pulborough, West Sussex
                        This is a primarily office-based role; candidates must be able to commute.
                        10 days a year may be worked from home.                       

About the role
This is a mid-level position in a small but growing technical team, requiring a significant level of responsibility. You will report to the product design manager. Primarily, the role is focused on electronics and firmware development for new products but will include other typical design tasks such as supporting technical enquiries and ongoing maintenance of existing products and code. You may also be required to mentor a junior engineer.

Ideal Qualifications, skills & experience

  • At least 2 years industry experience in an electronics design role
  • Electronics design, from prototypes through to production and maintenance
  • Design to meet required product EMI and safety standards, experience with the test process
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout of 4+ layer boards
  • Design validation and test, building of prototypes
  • Embedded software development in c (ARM and STM32 experience ideal)
  • Creation of high quality, consistent, design documentation and artefacts
  • Experience of desktop application development in C# useful but not essential
  • Self-motivated, organised, good general problem solving, analytical & administrative skills
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
